As a freelancer, I have struggled to write a regular column/blog but do try to respond positively to requests. I love reading introductions to other writers’ play texts for context and insights and have invited these for my work where possible. Carl Miller on Touchstone Tales, Professor Sarah Ansari on Child of the Divide 2017, and my own introduction to My Name is....

It was a privilege to be included in Theatre in Times of Crisis, 20 scenes from 20 playwrights, mostly for the thrill of reading the work of so many inspiring writers and their personal testimonies.

    These series of blogs chart my creative journey as I explored the theme of TOUCH with communities in Luton during my year-long residency in 2020. They capture my grappling with how to be in ‘company’ with community groups and individuals without being physically present together and give an insight into the encounters that directly inspired Touchstone Tales.
